Startup accelerator MassChallenge and the World Business Council for Sustainable Development (WBCSD) are joining forces to identify the 10 most promising technologies, startups and small companies to mitigate climate change that can be multiplied globally before 2030.
This was announced at today’s Bühler Networking Days by Sunny Verghese, WBCSD Chair and Co-Founder and Group CEO of Olam International Ltd.
The program, which will start in early 2020, anticipates applications from industry and processing solutions, with food and agriculture particularly central, but is open to all high impact applications. Program details will be announced shortly.
Bühler, a WBCSD member, is one of the founding partners of MassChallenge Switzerland alongside other Swiss members Givaudan, Nestlé, and Barry Callebaut. Other partners include GEA, Swiss Economic Forum, and Inartis Foundation.
The program is a response to the urgency to identify and scale globally and rapidly the most promising technologies to mitigate climate change by 2030.
